Sad News

Post by KNeal »

I just learned today that fellow Richmond c-boater, Ellis, was severly injured in a freak accident (non-boating) this past Friday and is in the hospital. My information is vague because I learned of this accident third-hand--the "grapevine effect" can cause me to write misleading information, so I will let you know only what I know. He was driving on an interstate highway on the way to Virginia Beach, when a tree branch punched through his windshield and punctured his chest and one of his lungs. Help was immediate on-scene and is now in intensive care. This is all the information I can provide you at this time. Please keep Ellis in your prayers.

I will keep you up-to-date when I know more.

KNeal;
have you heard any more news about this accident? Is there a place to send a card or something?
Please let him know that we're pulling for him;

Ellis update

Post by KNeal »

I have not spoken with Ellis personally, yet, but he is out of the hospital and still recovering. Thank you to everyone to has kept Ellis in your hearts and prayers.

Ellis is a very talented c-boater and is a Riot-sponsored playboater. He is the kind of guy to take the time to hang out with you and let you borrow any of his boats--which he has done for me on several occasions. Please continue to hope and pray for his ongoing recovery.
