Harold Deal has made a new ww canoe paddle and Zaveral Racing Paddles has made it for him. Check it out www.zre.com
Harold Deal is a OC1 Slalom Racer designed the Shaman Canoe etc.

I can't wait to get my hands on one of these :P . I've been useing Zav. paddles for racing flatwater for years & they rock. Those are a bit fragile for whitewater use though :cry: . If this blade is tough I'll have one. It is odd that they don't mention the weight on the web-site. I guess I'll just have to call 'em tomorrow.

They sound like great paddles, the only question (as Mike W mentions) is durability...so, let us know, eh? A light, durable paddle CAN be done (my old Schlegal lasted for about 7 years!...ok, with a FEW repairs :roll: ...but even today it's still lighter than my Mitchell (All wood with carbon on the blade).
