Shipping Boats? Who?

Post by ivanbartha »

I need to know if anyone has shipped boats and who they have used. My last boat arrived on a Forward Air truck for $50 so I know it can be done. There is a fella in Moses Lake Washington that wants my marathon boat and I am not sure how to get it to him. Moses Lake does not have a Forward Air office or I would have gone that route.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

There is a forward air depot in Seattle and Portland. It would be worth the buyer's while to drive to get it from one of those two locations if at all possible, forward air is just so cheap.

Pilot Air

I just had Pilot Air ship a squirt boat from CA to WA. They charged $100. They had a shipping terminal in Reno, which was 20 min. from the seller.

Fwd Air quoted $50 for the same delivery, but the closest Fwd Air terminal was in Sacremento, 2 1/2 hrs from the seller.

The service with Pilot Air was good. I'd say check them out, 1-800-447-4568, www.pilotair.com.
