Hi,
I currently paddle a Dagger GTX and a Dagger Medieval. Former boats were a Dagger Atom and a Pyranha Inazone 240. I'm 6'3" 205lb padling C-1 for four years, previous to that OC-1 for 20 years.
The GTX performs great on class 3-4 water. The GTX is great on fast technical creeks, it's stable, crisp eddies and good speed. I want all of the above peformance but a boat which is a little bit more playful. At least be able to stern squirt it on a moderate eddie line. I have been thinking about a Dagger Honcho but suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

I'd look into a Wavesport SUPER EZ. Someone here paddles one I know. Most of my K1 friends swear by the EZ/BIGEZ/SUPEREZ series for good riverrunning playboats

I second that....one of the best "river-runners" that are more on the play side.

Yes, I'm very interested in learning more about the Super EZ. I had about decided on this boat. I had even started a topic on if the Super EZ would be good boat on fast technical class 4 stuff as well as play, a response was " I don't know how the Super is. I will not paddle technical stuff in me big ez. It's just too slow to make the moves. It's a great park & play boat though" That comment slowed me down as to my next boat. I've been hearing a lot of good things though so it's still high on the priority list. :-? If anyone else has any comments about the Super EZ's fast technical river performance please post. Thanks.
