even more seatbelt stuff

Post by Aric »

I posted on an earlier discussion about my setup being a one pull system, you pop your skirt and your belt releases also. I did this by drilling a hole in the quick release buckle and tying a line to it. the other end of the line has a loop the skirt pull tab goes through.
I think James asked if I could send a picture.

geocities is weird, try cuting the URL and then pasting it into your browser window and adding a space at the end.

The lap belt is very nice, how well does it work during a wet exit?

wet exit

Post by Aric »

it works well for wet exits, the loop on the red line goes out to the skirt pull tab, so when you pop your skirt the belt releases also.

Backpad?

Post by C1Deli »

It looks like you back pad is threaded through the cockpit rim -- so how do you stop leaks there?

I am just about to outfit a boat using a back pad, so any hints welcome!

that backband was on the boat when I bought it, it leaked then and still leaks now. I squirted some aquaseal into the holes after I had adjusted the band, but it doesn't keep all the water out. next I'm going to try silicone from th hardware store, I hope it works better...
