Hi. I am looking for any thoughts on c1 creek boats. I am 205lbs. and 'am concidering a "Y", or Gus, or Embudo. I am leaning towards the Embudo. I C1 an Eskimo Quadro and am looking for a bit more volume and a little less edge, oh yea, more stability. I don't need the ultimate creeker, just the ultimate class 4 river boat for a 200lb'er.

Hello Guest,
Robson may have the Finkenmeister available in the US soon. This is a boat DESIGNED as a C1 cruiser/creeker and has gotten some good reviews. Like you, I am also looking for a good creek C1 and the Finkenmeister is my first choice and am patiently waiting for Robson to get a North American distributor for their products.
It may be worth the wait. See Robson Finkenmnister topics below where all this is discussed in alot of detail.
If the Robson business falls through I would chose the Pyranha H3 255. From what I've gathered from discussions on this forum the Gus would be a mistake (poor primary stability) , the Embudo would be worth exploring.
Hope that's helpful.

Bruce, any sign of *when* the Finkenmeister will be available? Last I heard the distributor said, "tell me who's interested, I'll get a container full of finkenmeisters here!" I havent really heard anything since then.
Thanks! Mike.
ps. sorry to hijack the post!

Hello Msims,
I feel your pain. Haven't heard a word in about 6 weeks. I've tried contacting the new distributor with no luck so far. As far as I can guess he's busy setting up the business and can't handle customers yet.
See You In A Finkenmeister,
Bruce

Hey Guest,
Are you currently paddling an Eskimo Quadro as a C1?
I have seen the Embudo as a kayak and like what I see. Prijon boats in general make good C1 conversions.

Yes, I c1 a Quadro. I am a bit big so the seat is pretty low, I just raised it 1/2'' to about 5 1/2''. It is THE best surfing machine. It is a light boat, with light outfitting. The boat jumps to top speed easy to catch the wave, super quick carving edge to edge. The stern is very playfull, the bow is not the cartwheel machine. The little extra volume allows me to paddle easy class 4 - 3+. A friend has a Prijon Delireios, that is way slicer, The quadro is livlier. An Atom, Z, and Score, I have tried, paddle like trucks compared to the Quadro. I guess you could say I like the Quadro.
