Several people on this post use the SF. : 8)

I have seen 200 plus paddlers do real well with them. :

My experiance is that a SF will probably be a boat that I use in warm months when being filled up is not an issue. Otherwise, the boats are fun and turn on a dime. THey make good shallow creek boats too.

Use the search engine feature on this board and type in the word "spanish".... there's a ton of info here.

...and it's my favorite boat for doing anything/everything. If we are going somewhere I can only take "one" boat.... this is it.

Tim,
I'm in NC. I might be selling mine. I'm a low intermediate paddler and I like the boat, but I'm not good enough to paddle it year long. I need to firm up a back up boat first before selling this- I've been shuffling my inventory from 5 to 3- skeeter -spanish fly- impulse-outrage x and Bliss. I might move to a zoom (or keep the Spanish Fly) - ovation or Nitro- probe 14 or Caption

The Spanish fly is barely scratched except for a divot in the stern, which is filled in. All outfitting intact. $850.00

I love this boat. I felt the boat was tippy in the loake, but I finally took in down river. After ten minutes the tippiness was gone. I'm having a little trouble getting turned while front surfing, but side surfing is amazing in this boat. You get in the wave, and you can surf as long as you want, about 5 minutes is it for me, but it is awesome. My Outrage X I could front surf much better but the OX came no where near while side surfing.

You have to paddle hard to ferry to the choice route (harder than the outrage x), BUT once you get moved to the right location there is no problem lining the boat up.

I just ordered a viper 11, and wonder if I should have. I guess I'll know once I get the SF in big water (which I have not done yet, just class II)
