C1 Topolino

Post by Piep »

Does sombody has allready tried a Topolino converted in C1... Because I'v tried it (just in class II/III) and it seems not a very good idea. The boat is too unstable. If you lean backwords it's even worse... SO ?

P.S. Before it broke, I used a 240 Micro in class IV/V.

i used the micro 240 too, tippy aint it!

i used to think of the micro as my "sopwith camel" -- a WWI fighter plane that was famously difficult to fly. if you dont watch out, it will send you into the "offside death-spin" . . .

but it makes us better pilots

I Piep, I think the topo has too rounded hull to be a good c1.
I never tried it c1, but i paddled it a lot in k1 and I think is defitely too round.
If you're looking for a cheap but not bat c1 creek boat try the Rainbow Zulu: is like a little Y and you can buy it 2° hand for a cheap price or buy the hull only (perhaps i will sale my one this spring...)

Good!! It's a lot better than a topo c1...
When are you planning to go in Corse? Probably I will be there at the end of april. It would be nice meet us there.
Anyway I'm often in France in the Durance area, maybe we can meet us there and run some river together... :D

Awsome Paolo !!! I'll be in Corsica from the 26th of march untill the 4th of April... I'm a instructor for a grade IV/V diploma. It's a bit early in the season (low watter) but the ferry costs are cheapper and we don't know evry body who is comming so it's beter whit low water.
I'm also evry year in the "vallée de la Durance" for a 1 week camp whit my club of Toulouse (I work for them). This year will be at the camping of The Rabioux from the 3th to the 11th of July....
Hope we can meet some day !

P.S. Did I allready told you I was really impresed by your videos of Corsica ? :D
