Tore the pedestal seat and straps out of my XXX and turned it back into a kayak. My wife wanted HER boat back. Oh well, at least I keep sleeping in the house for a while. Oh, and there was the little problem of my steady weight gain, XXX doesn't work too well at 185 pounds.

...well CDawg I did something even worse yesterday - I paddled my first run of the season ... in a kayak.
I was all set at the put-in, readywith my Detonator to paddle this run I've been wanting to paddle for the last two years. Then one of my friends goes...oh before you lock it (my car) I need my paddle...oh so do I.....@#&^$ where are my @#^% padddles. DOUH! I'd left them at home when I ran out the door because I was running late. I had another friends kayak on my roof, and his paddle in my car and one of my other friends had a spare skirt with him, so rather than miss out on this run (which was totally awesome - really fun little class III) which runs a 3-4 days a year, I caved in and paddled the kayak. I'm totally bummed that this is how I started the season. Only good thing is it hurt my back so much sitting like that that I'm definitely not going to repeat it! (Besides I have the identical boat as a C1
)
The season can only get better
