I'm a big guy at 5' 10" 240, built like Fred Flinstone and an active paddler.
I'm looking for a whitewater boat that will handle my size. What would you recommend?

Check out the Mad River Outrage-X or the Esquif Vertige-X. Of the two I would recommend the Vertige-X because it's wider.

If you like composite boats, the Prowler, by Kaz is the standard for slalom in the medium (15')class and can easily handle your size, stay dry in very big water, and its light ~34lb, responsive and fast to accelerate.

Lots of older hull designs/big boats will handle big fellas, such as the Dagger Rival, Impulse or Genesis or the Old Town H2Pro. The Outrage X might be a good choice since it's also fairly narrow compared to some of these others, and, as I know, though heavy, us Fred Flinstone's don't have the huge reach for cross strokes in wide OC. I'm 5'9" 205lbs and am trying a MR Outrage this season.
