Where could 5 or people camp during the race weekend? Anybody paddling the Hudson this weekend, maybe Sunday the 4th?. North Branch of the Lamoille will be runnable this weekend, wide open class 3-4, similar to Sandy Brook in Ct. Our ice went out this weekend.

If you are going to post on this forum it might be a good idea for you to get your own name instead of using mine. I've been posting as Cdawg for a long time, go back and do a search if you like. Nice name, but not your's.

Couple of places nearby in Lake George area are listed on the Warren County tourism site... I think this link will work.

http://www.visitlakegeorge.com/

You can do a search for whatever type of campground you are looking for under the "Camping" section of the site and go from there. It would be a good idea to call ahead of time though... most places in our area are gearing up for the summer season and might not be open until Memorial Day weekend. But you never know.

You might also want to check out the Derby's website...

http://www.goremtnregion.org/derby.htm

They have a link to places to stay but mostly cabins, motels etc.

Hope this helps... :)

Greetings to both of you..and anyone else reading this message. I've been wondering when this would come up....

You've both had a few usernames as I recall, and both registered about the same time (Jan 25th and March 1, both of 2003...).

There are a few other usernames on this board that are similar...so, as a whole, what does everyone think? I've just learned to check the user profile to remind myself that C-Dawg is the one that lives in Fairfax...but if the community decides that usernames should be a lot different I'll start a list of "username rules". As it is the program does not let you duplicate usernames.

Also, let's try and keep this friendly-I don't think it has been anyone's intention on this board (yet...thankfully) to slander or impersonate anyone else.

In the same vein I can offer FREE camping 20 minutes from the Hudson River Derby for the entire weekend, an outhouse, and gravity fed spring water. If it get's really soggy you're welcome to crash in my barn too. For details please PM or e-mail me directly (info@cboats.net).
