Has anyone tried, or has, a Wave Sport Z as a C-1. I'm thinking to convert one.
Info on the boat's changed performance or outfitting tricks would be appreciated.

I've been in a Z conversion two or three times and thought it was a great boat, especially for the larger paddler such as myself. I liked it so much that I was in the market for one for a while, but finding that the used Zs (at that time) were holding their value better than my budget was, I bought something else...

It seemed to be a good balance between a river runner and a play boat - it surfed up a storm and had reasonable speed. If you are heavy enough it will do the flat water party tricks, not something very feasible in kayak mode. It's wide enough that you can get a comfortably tall pedestal to work. The cockpit is plenty roomy, too.
