Hi Scal,
Check out Mike Yee's outfitting instructions. They are very detailed and also include info about saddle placement.

I don't know if the Outrage is symmetrical or not. if it is an assymetrical design and you can't get the info about saddle placement from the manufacturer, take it to the next lake, have a friend look at the trim of the boat and start moving the saddle fore and aft until you found the right position.

Hi,
If you can't find any info through the above Mickey Yee link, or through MR or elsewhere, I can take some exact measurements for you from my Outrage.
For some outfitting I was doing, I have centre marked on tape on my gunwales and it seems I sit slightly behind centre. Like if I sit straight up, my nose and chest would be about at the centre line, this way you're just slightly trimmed to the stern normally, but can easily throw your weight to the bow as well.
Good luck.

Hi,
My Outrage has a fairly small saddle, about 12" long. Given that there are different saddle designs, I think the most relevant measurement will be where the very back of the seat is.
My saddle was also low at the back, and perhaps a shade too forward for me, so I made some minor adjustments (carved off some foam) and added a taller piece (up to gunwale height) that gives my some resistance from behind and prevents me from lifting/slipping up & back. The original outfitting was done by a reputable paddling shop. I'm 5'9" 200 lbs.
So, here are the measurements of as-far-back-as-I-can-move-my-butt in the saddle:
80" from the outside tip of the bow to the back of my seat.
65.5" from the tip of the stern to the same back of my seat.
With my saddle, that means I've got about 3 inches of saddle in front of the centre line, and about 8 behind. Apparently my 12' Outrage measures 12' 2/16ths from tip-to-tip on the outsides, and/or the measurements aren't quite perfect because I pulled the tape over some tiny rope-related outfitting on the deck plates. Anyway 80" bow and 65.5" stern should be helpful numbers for you.
Some people I know place their saddles by putting a broom stick under the centre line and having the stern down, but so that they can put the bow down with a comfortable forward lean. Ideally though, as suggested, move it around a bit and try it on the water before you glue.
Hope that helps, Pat.
