How are people liking Maxwell's ergo shaft paddles. I got 2 of em and they seem to have an extra bend in them to me. Were is your bottom grip hand supposed to grip? I have played aroudn with them and not yet sure with them. The bend looks different from the Gala sport ergo shaft.
thanks

Hey Yukon,

Now I wish I had the ergo shaft in front of me but I'll try to tell you where to hold the shaft without looking at it.
At the catch of a forward stroke, your shaft hand should be on bent part of the shaft so that your wirst is straight. I love the feel of ergo shafts.

Hope that helps. If you are still unclear message back and maybe someone else (or I) could get a photo posted.

I, too, have two of Maxwell's sticks and really like them. One is a lighter model and the other is a creek model.

I haven't had a chance to put my hands on a Galasport ergo shaft, but from what little I've seen (http://www.galasport.com/shafts/c1.html) the Galasport and Maxwell shafts have the same idea, but Maxwell's have more pronounced bends. When I ordered my first one, he asked for a measurement between my top hand and the middle knuckle of my shaft hand to locate the middle of the first "bent segment" . When my hand is there and I am extended for a forward stroke, my shaft hand is in a more neutral (upright) position.

I'll take some pix soon and post them.
