Hey all,
I recently started paddling a converted LL session and have some questions about how to get started with something besides just straight surfing. I don't really know any other C1ers, and most of the people I have a chance to boat with arn't much into playboating, so I'm finding it hard to figure out what to do.
I've been trying to watch how kayaks do things but I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to do what they do on my knees and with one blade. Heh also having issues catching waves, but thats something entirely different .
Basically wondering if anyone has any advice about how to go from total newb to someone who can at least pretend they know what they are doing . I'm wondering if there is any kind of move or technique that would be best to try and start on and how to acctually do it?
Also I'm wondering if there are any good sites/books/videos that can give me any kind of idea on where to begin? I've checked out a few videos online but haven't really helped much cause I can't tell what exactly they are doing.

Try a flat spin.
Look on the playak.com site and search for C1 or check the C1 section.
And yes, watch kayakers, and try to do what they do while adjusting for the single blade. Momentum is always a challenge with a single blade as is your offside.
