I know a few of you guys have converted these. How do you like them as C-1s. I'm looking at possibly converting a T4 and was just looking for some thoughts on the Transformer series.

i have a T2 andi like it a lot. its a great boat for the james!! its super wide, and is super stable. the only thing about this boat is its a pig on a wave. unless you have some pile, the boat will not stay on it. the boat loves holes, and can throw like a champ. i pretty much learned to paddle this boat a Z- dam, and it loves that hole!!!!. the T2 is not the best boat for air. it wont go as big as some of the other boats, but i still havent had to much trouble getting some huge air. the other nice thing is that its short, really short. i throw in holes and waves i was never able to in the past. it makes those low water summer days a lot more fun.
i dont know how much you weigh, but the T4 is a HUGE boat. im 170, and paddle a T2. it fits me fine. unless you are pushing 250 or so, i wouldnt think of getting a T4. the end have to much volume, and it makes it hard to control the ends. hope this helps --- joey
if you want to get in mine, drop me a line, and we can paddle some time. there is another guy in town who paddles a T4. im sure he wouldnt mind if you got in his either.

Thanks for the advice, I'm 6'5" and a little over 200lbs. The Transformer would be my first playboat, comming from an open boat, the width is what attracts me to that boat. I may see if I can find a good deal on a T3.
Do you paddle a yellow T2 and catch a ride with us in a red minivan sat from Mayo up to Reedy?
