Hi Y'all

OK, I just sent my contract in and in August I am relocating from upstate NY to Switzerland. I'm shipping my boats over and have to pack and ship an entire 20ft shipping container to do this, so I have extra space. I'd be happy to ship boats for other people as well, if you can ge them to me in upstate NY (near where SirAdam lives). I unfortunately don't have too muhc time after I return to NY before I leave so aren't able to chase aorund and pick boats up from other places.

I'd need the boats in Ithaca by the last week of August and would prefer to ship used boats to avoid custom hassles, but could probably take new boats too, although you'd have to pay any import duties. I expect it'll be about the end of Sept or early October when the boats would be available in Switzerland.

I would ask for a contribution for shipping them, but we can work that out. Would half of what it would otherwise cost be cool? (I don't know what it would normally cost, so make me an offer )

Best way to reach me is to send me a private message here on the board, but please understand if I don't reply immediately as I'm on a big road trip this summer. I expect to be on the internet no more than once a week for the next few weeks.

Hey Matt,
Glad to see you're finally settling down. I spent a week at Madawaska paddling with a Swiss couple a few years back. I'll see if I can hunt down their names for you. A good resource to start with if I can find their address. I'll have to think if I want to cache a boat over there for a future paddling trip but other things come to mind like SKIIS! Your offer is kind and I thought I'd get others brain cells going as to other things to help fill your container out. Hope someone is planning a trip over soon who can take advantage of this great offer.

Thanks Pat. Not that I'd call it settling down, just relocating to a new place to explore.... Of course there si that whole job thing to consider that might curtail some of the explorations somewhat
