I am thinking of buying a GTX to convert, but I am wondering if it would work OK for a big... er, I mean husky guy. I weigh about 240 lbs, am 6 foot 2. I have Dagger outfitting, was thinking of using that. I think the performance would be good, fast, quick turning, it has a lot of volume, 76 gallons I believe, almost as much as the Cascade. Just wondering about stability, whether bigger C1ers have used the boat, what kind of success they have had with it.

I paddle a GTX conversion C-1 and weigh 205#. I find the boat very stable, pretty fast and hits eddies on a dime. This boat is very hard to stern squirt, not much vertical play without a lot of pourover. This boat performs great on Ocoee type water.
At 240#, you would be at the very top end of this boat and may suffer stability problems. I sure wouldn't buy one without getting to demo one first.
