Dagger Prophet

I've seen a few Dagger Prophets for sale recently, but I can't picture the boat. This website lists it as 11'11" and "dry & agile with lots of rocker". I can picture the longer Encore, were they similar boats?

What does a Prophet compare too. At <12' and dry & agile it sounds like a decent boat?

Thanks, Pat.

Google to the rescue!

Maybe babelfish can translate that...

Thanks Scott, Cool! Who speaks Japanese? Interesting that there's no Genesis, Encore or Phantom on that site, maybe those were just what was in production at that time?

I did Google the Prophet, but all I found was this site, and you can't see much in the photos: http://www.carlwoodard.com/html/canoeing.html

Maybe I get the Prophet and Encore mixed up because they were both made in pink?

Sure looks like A LOT of rocker on the Prophet. Anyone know how it paddles?

It's been a long time and I'm certainly a different paddler than I was then, but.... I really didn't like it - it wobbled, wouldn't track, and I swam out of it. Of course now I think a Slasher is fun and a couple of years ago moved into a "longer" boat by swapping an Ultra-Clean for a Score...

A friend tried to paddle a borrowed Prophet down the Upper Gauley and thought it preferable to haul it up the trail at Pillow Rock...

But then again, there are folks who love it!
