Has anyone converted Perception Amp? THe cockpit is so big and it looks like a decent playable hull.

I've got one. The Amp is a little faster than my Big ez. That helps me make some of the moves that I mis in the Big. While it's good on a wave, it doesn't carve quite as well as the Big does. It's easy to stern or bow squirt too. I think the length keeps it from bobbing front to back, which makes ferries a lot better than the Big.
This boat was already converted when I got it. It has the Perception saddle. I've been thinking that if I'm going to keep it I should put in some hip pads. It would spin even better then

Chuck -
What do you weigh? I converted one for a friend and paddled it some and can assert that at 210# it is a bit "squirty"...

I weigh around 180 and presently use a GTX conversion. THanks for the feedback.

When this came up, I'd forgotten that I'd documented the conversion of an Amp I did this summer :

It's pretty roomy in there - even though it was pretty low volume for me, it fit me great.
