Welcome to the T-grip!

I don't do tricks or paddle OC-1, so can't help much with technique tips.

But the swimming on the New might mean the best way to spend the next couple months is in a swimming pool training that ROBSON CUFLY to roll.

There are paddling clubs in Ohio (Keelhaulers http://www.keelhauler.org/) and Kentucky (Bluegrass Wildwater http://www.surfbwa.org/index.html) that might be holding pool sessions for practice and/or instruction. Joining a local paddling club is the fastest way develop techniques (and friends) for paddling almost every kind of boat or water.

Good luck.

BTW, is there any whitewater near Cinncinatti?
