outfitting a Savage Skeeter

Post by jpm370 »

just picked up a used skeeter that needs ful outfitting. the guy before me ripped everything out.
i need to know how to locate the saddle with respect to the center point of the canoe so that it is balanced? with my weight distributed between my kneepads and saddle where is the center?
also any idea on what kind of adhesives work on PE? i hear that they can be a pain, but i DONT want to bolt stuff in!!

Check the outfitting section right here on c-boats. Find the boats center in the water if possible. Glue--one word WELDWOOD. Hope you enjoy your new toy!

glues

Post by jpm370 »

thanks for the glue brand....... the page on this site didnt help too much. but thanks

so has anone had experience with IC-gel on rotomolded canoes? the only other glue i have heard to use is "COP-R lastic" (maybe mispelled) this one requires heating your canoe... its used by Northwater and CUrrent designs (for bulkheads)

whats anybodies experience with these glues
