...you can tell it's wintertime with less boating opportunities  . Sounds like time to make plans for our "armada" get-togethers :P!

I should be available to organize another spring armada during one of the May releases on the North Branch Potomac (NBP). The April 30-May1 weekend looks appealing to me, but I may be able to do another weekend in May. Everyone who thinks they can make it, check your calendar and let's see if we can create another intimidating group of c-boaters with attitude--an attitude of FUN! :)

Adam, can we refresh the above poll about the spring armada dates and make it current to the 2005 release dates? Or do we need to create a new poll?

In the meantime, I'm getting this creaky body ready for skiing at Wintergreen in early February. My wife and I will be staying up there through the weekend and I am really looking forward to skiing on those days. The reason I'm posting this is in case there are other ski bum-types that can join me on the slopes (PAC?).

Wouldn't it be neat to get some video up to go along with the technique discussion/suggestions? I might be able to come up with the equipment; I'm not as certain about the technique! And it will be a long time before I try to do any more underwater shots...

KNeal – go for on organizing another spring armada! As of right now I’m open for all dates. The earlier it gets planned the earlier I can pencil it in on the calendar and thus reserve the weekend.

Most likely I’ll be showing up with the modified C2 (boy in the front with a kayak paddle)! He had so much fun at last years I doubt he’ll allow me to go without him!  I might also have a second C2 available (if I ever get around to picking up the Pig boat) if any other tag teams are interested in borrowing one – a great parent / child experience with best in class safety boater support (thanks again guys)!

As for skiing – my calendar is booked for early Feb but thanks for the thought! Hopefully Wintergreen isn’t getting what we are getting right now (yes I’m complaining about rain – since I packed all my paddling gear away and I have a number of ski race events scheduled for the next couple weeks).

If we recover – winter wise - stay tuned since April is a good time to double up on the Hydro-fever (ski and paddle) around here so keep in touch!

Scott - I like the idea - it would be nice to see some video from some of the experts here to help me improve from my white water weenie style!
