Hi, Scott C. The Spring Armada has been held on the North Branch Potomace (Bloomington section?) for the past 4 years. It is located near Westernport, Md. and has class 1-3 whitewater sections; personally, I would rate this run a class 2 overall with one or two class 3 spots (Robin's Nest is one of them). We are aiming for the weekend of May 13-15 and you can expect mostly a paddling trip of fun, fellowship and a chance to paddle many different boats.

I am waiting to hear from Davey Hearn about getting the national coaching position to see if we are going to have a clinic on Friday, May 13 (either on the Potomac at the feeder canal, Mather's Gorge, or the Dickerson course, or around the NB Potomac).

Keep checking the Spring Armada sticky up top for updates. Hope you can make it!

We've been camping at the Savage. They want $10. I've been told of the Corps of Engineers campground up on the lake. They have facilities for only $8 more. What do y'all think? http://www.reserveamerica.com/jsp/commo ... index.html

About the water, KNeal neglected one item...there are playspots for all types of boats on this section from slalom boats to spuds :D
