WS Z too big for me?

Or just right? I've paddled my WS Forplay c-1 on whitewater for five seasons now, but I've gained a few pounds and I'm thinking the Z might be a better choice for big water, or class IV. The Forplay is getting a bit harder to keep right side up. I'm about 185 pounds with my gear on. I do have a good roll, but I'm 58 and not quite as quick as I'd like to be. My uncertainty is that I might be too light for the Z and therefore it may not handle well. I've found a nice Z at a good price but am obviously hesitating.

Thanks in advance,
Dennis

I'd think the only way you would suffer in a Z if it was a little too big would be that you would not be able to sink the ends as well. That has been the chief complaint of folks lighter than I who have tried my Score, that and that the outfitting was too loose for them. The latter, of course, wouldn't be an issue when you have it set up for you.

How hard do you play? Stern squirts and cartwheels won't be out of the question, they would just require more precise form or more muscle. I'd think it would be a great river runner...
