Race information...check it out!!

Post by Sir Adam »

For sometime I've been working on a little project MikeW passed along from Ed Sharp (sidelined by a certain script kiddie, unfortunately, for a bit). IT'S DONE, along with a few new slalom course links in Canada sent in my Lonny. Thanks for contributing to both of you!

Check out the Race / Slalom page http://www.cboats.net/race/
For more details, especially the link to the 2005 eastern race schedule. It's quite a list!

I urge all of you to try at least one race this year, just for fun. Many aren't THAT competative, and it's a great place to meet other boaters in your area.

And yes, as enticement to come to the Hudson River Whitewater Derby I'm offering free camping as usual 8) Contact me for details....

Hey Adam, thanks for posting the schedule. Ed puts a lot of time into putting it together every year.

If anyone wants to try my wildwater boat I'll be paddling it for the last time this Saturday at the Neuse River Rally in Raleigh. It will soon be delivered to the new owner.

You do an amazing job with this site, but how's the Maven mold coming? Just from the photos I've nearly determined that it will be my next boat :P

Thank you :D .

Regarding the Maven...it's getting there. The plug is DONE, polished, and sealed. The mold is next, and is going to built side-by-side with a production quality mold a professional is building...so at the moment I'm waiting for them to finish THEIR plug so we're at the same stage. I am unbelieavably thrilled that we're doing it this way-it's easy for them, it's easy for me, and it means there's a better chance it will be done correctly...and at this stage of the game I'd hate to lose my plug (which can certainly happen...even with professionals...but the chances are greatly diminished 8) ).

I'll post an image of the plug and mold when it's completed (which may be before or afer the armada, I'm not sure), and then the boat as it's built (assuming I don't muck up the mold...).
