just looking for those that have used the necky blunt as C1. Worth changing up my wavesport Y for a necky blunt? Several of you guys on the board are keen on this boat. for class 4+ (and up on a good day) creeking.

Awesome boat. Hard to get these days. Some dealers still have new ones though. I broke mine after well over 100 days low volume creeking.
They are tough.
One things I did not like:
flat back deck likes to ender

I've paddle a Y and currently have a Blunt. The Blunt is faster, more stable, easier to correct/turn, and overall more enjoyable. If you have access to one, buy it. You won't look back. Just make sure you have your seat far enough foward (~9" from cockpit rim). Enjoy.

I have never paddled the Y, but I love my Blunt. I have never paddled the Y, but the Blunt definitely has a huge following and the Y doesn't for some reason. Plus, the Blunt has a cooler name (well, sort of. I privately call mine "The Nietzsche"). I would recommend buying one (they are hard to find these days for sure, but they are definitely out there). Actually, buy two Blunts, and, as people on this board would say, "Bring the extra one to the Armada and leave it on my roofrack at the end of the weekend . . . "
C-1 forever
