Talked to Paul Danks about it a month ago at Palmer Fest even got to take a few rides in his prototype, can't comment onn performance however as I did not properly fit his boat thus had no real control.
It looks as if Esquif is first working out all the production issues with the Taureau. Once that boat is in full production, then the Salsa will follow.

hey john,
the prototype was the same boat as in rapid magazine, as far as I could tell meade of kevlar, with maybe a few layers of glass in it.
Thje yellowish tint is the natural color of the kevlar fibers. The boat was not all that light, maybe 35 lbs?

The production model however will be, as far as I know in PE, so the weight will be different.
