fixing a delaminated airbag?

One of my OC airbags (Headwaters brand) is starting to delaminate. The nylon is pulling away from whatever the inner, air-tight layer is (PVC? Vinyl?) all across the back of the bag where the two halves are seamed together, such that I can stick my hand between the nylon and the inner coating. The bag is still 100% airtight but probably not as strong as it used to be. I would guess the nylon provides structural and abrasion protection.

Is this something that's fixable? I'm hesitant to smear anything glue-ish onto the bag, since I don't want to dissolve the airtight layer with the glue solvent. I also don't want to put something on there that won't be flexible...

Any ideas? Or do I just leave it alone and replace it when it finally fails?

In england we get a gunky fluid from cycle shops. its intended for putting in cycle tyre inner tubes to seal puctures the moment they happen. I know several people who have used it sucessfully in air bags. It coats the inner serface.
