as pulled from the USACE website:
"There are plans for an Artificially Varied Flow (AVF) release beginning on October 1 at 8 AM and lasting until October 2 at 1 PM. AVF flows are scheduled periodically to help improve downstream habitat. The release rate will be 900 - 1000 cfs from Jennings Randolph Lake. There will not be a corresponding release from Savage River Dam. If there is a storm event that requires large releases from Jennings Randolph Lake prior to October 1, this AVF would be cancelled."
Far as I know, this should be a go as nothing is on the ten day forecast of a magnitude to force an early release. The remnants of Rita should be pretty well disapated and may arrive right about the time of the release.
