Yes, that's me! Took my FM down South for Gauley fest to run the Upper yough and the Upper Gauley. Had my first ever run down the upper Gauley on Saturday and my 2nd one on Sunday. Kinda messed up my line down Pillow a bit both days and flipped near the bottom. There is actually a series of pictures of me going over to my offside on my run on Sunday on the same site. Had tons of fun!

Oh, and here is actually one of our good friend Steve, who decided, after a brief side surf in the very first hole right at the top of Pillow to kick it up a notch and to swim the rapid, mostly under water... yes, he is under there somewhere...

So that's what it looks like! All I remember of Pillow is lots of green - when I ran it, I was upside down all the way from the chute to just past Pillow Rock.
I did manage to roll up though.

ive figured out how im going to mount the thigh straps. via a 2x4 drilled to a metal plate on the bottom ,and a notch cut in the saddle, and bulkhead, then ill just use a router to make a notch in the wood, and put some sort of a sealent on it, and i think ill be set.
yes
yes
that is what i will do.
it has taken me almost 3 months to decide, but that is the plan of action
and yes in response to the question that was not asked of me, i find it more diofficult to roll than my race boat that i outfitted, and got the roll fairly comfortably in.

Bruce,
The Finkenmeister was hard to roll before I installed the thighstraps, mainly due to the fact that I started to slide out of the boat as soon as I was upside down.
Now, with my high thigh straps (lower anchor ~2 inches in front of the saddle and I use the holes for the original hip pads as attachment point for the upper strap anchor), I am firmly planted in my boat and my butt does not lift offf the saddle any more when I am upside down. I have also lowered the saddle to ~ 7 inches.
Since modifying the outfitting, I have not blown a roll in this boat. Right now, it is doing all I want iot to do.
It is however still not the fastest C1 to roll, definitely slower than my Wheelboy or my Sith, but still easier than my Prelude OC1. It is also less likely to flip than the Wheelboy or Sith. I guess what goes over slowly comes back up slowly.
