A Slick Stick, or a Red Fred?

Post by SoMeC1 »

Im about 135lbs. Would the Red Fred be too big of a boat for me? Would the slick stick be too small? Which would be the best all around boat? Thanks

Never paddled either, but I'd say go fer the slick stick if you want a playboat. The Red Fred is pretty big, and at 135 I'd imagine it'd be somewhat of a tub. If you are just looking for general opinions, don't forget to check out the Fluid Flirt or LL PocketRocket/Skip/Vision44. That boat is a great C1 and the small would fit you well.

I'd agree. I have a Twintip and at your weight you can get away with a smaller boat. Try not to get anything too slow though.
