Cascade Question

Post by philinasheville »

Does anyone know if a size large Immersion Research spray skirt will fit a Cascade?

the cascade has a round cockpit - totally different from the keyhole cockpits found on modern kayaks. Mountain Surf and Harmony both made skirts specific to the Cascade, but the Harmony ones didn't stay on well at all.

you might have to get Mountain Surf to make you one, as I doubt they still stock that skirt.

You won't regret it, I got a Mountain Surf for my Finkenmeister and it is the driest skirt ever! I don't have to sponge out water at all, it makes my other skirts look like sieves!

just for reference, my IR skirt is loose but fits on my cascade. it's never blown, although I usually put a large piece of foam between my legs and the skirt to act as sort of an implosion bar.
