I am wanting to outfit my Aftershock with Spanish Fly styled outfitting.
Anyone have any thoughts on the Beluga Appaloosa saddle?
While I'm at it, what are your thoughts on removing old adhesive from the hull.

Randy,
This saddle is intended for use in a traditional open canoe. It may be possible to modify it for installation in a Aftershock. I bought one from a Canadian outfitter and it was quite expensive to ship into the states due to its size. Two years ago I paid $249 with S & H for the saddle. It is well constructed. The thigh openings are small so one can remove trim the minicell for a custom fit. The Yakima foot pegs are set high so one can get their toes under the pegs.
A better idea for you may be to make your own bulkhead saddle out of minicell. Craig Smerda has some excellent information on how to outfit a Spanish Fly on C-boats. I would check that out before buying a Beluga saddle. Good luck.

thanks for the info. I've checked out Craig's website many times and was actually leaning toward's that route until I saw the Beluga. I didn't realize it was mainly intended for gunnel boats.
