I have the possibility to pick up a 4Fun that is already outfitted as a c1. The boat is in good shape and for a good price but I know very little about it apart from what I can read on the website. Does anyone know much about how it paddles c1-wise?

My skills, much like my body, are about ten years behind the times so Im not looking for a boat that can catch air. I would be looking for a boat that can cartwheel, spin, etc. I have or have had a Centrifuge and a XXX c1, playboat wise. I dont really need a river runner boat - I have one - but I thought it might be good for playboating for what I do. Im 5'7" and 165 lbs and like long walks on the beach. Any feedback you have or have heard would be great. Thanks.

As you will see msims is paddling a Fun series and it looks pretty lively! You might want to drop him a line for more info. I have paddled a 4Fun as a C1 and was amused with it for awhile. I like the feel and performance of Slalom boats, so, the 4Fun was a reach for me. As a result, over time, I have been a little frustrated with it. Park and Play you should be OK. River Running OK so long as there are very short stretchs of flat water. It is slow and pushes a lot of water in front of it.

I don't unfortunatley have anything to compare it with as it's my first C1. The design is relatively similar to the EZ/SuperEZ series (EJ designed those - the Fun is its evolution).... As a kayak it's a little faster than a SuperEZ.... (so im told)..

The Super Fun is really stable, wide. I'm not so sure how it behaves in current yet - I've only had it out once, and I was pretty chicken as I didnt really want to roll in a storm-sewer-runnoff river....

I find the stern fairly light as far as volume is concerned....
