Anyone paddling in WV on Easter?

Post by the great gonzo »

Is anyone paddling in WV on easter? A few of us Canucks (3-5 people by the looks of it, single bladers and a few yakers)
are going down to WV on Easter for 4 days, Friday to Monday and are interested in paddling with some locals. Most of us have been down there, paddled the Upper Gauley and Upper Yough (both at release levels), Upper Big Sandy, Noth Branch of the Potomac (Gormania to Kitzmiller). Looking to do some new rivers, too. Anyone interested in paddling with us?

easter

Post by JFD »

when is easter? i live in morgantown and can boat a lot during the week, less on weekends. i'd be glad to boat with you if we have water. right now we're in a bad dry spell. send me your cell phone or something and we'll keep in touch as your trip gets near. if i'm working that weekend i can at least let you know what's running. right now, the only good class 5 with any water is the lower meadow or you could head east to great falls. hopefully we'll have more rain in between now and then.

Easter weekend

Post by Bernie »

I will be in W. Va. on Easter weekend. Plan to paddle wherever there is water. I am usually in Fayetteville but will go north if there is more water.
I plan on the Cheoah this Saturday 4/8 and Tallulah on Sunday 4/9.
