Paddling shoes

Post by Col »

I need to upgrade my PeakUK paddling shoes to a more sturdy design possibly like five tens or something like that.

I never paddle kayak so I dont need to squeeze my feet into any small spaces, I really like the Peak slip on shoes but I need more of a sole for portages and climbing out to empty my boat. About the smallest boat I paddle is my CU Fly. So bearing that in mind what do people reccomend?

paddling shoes

I also used to use neo-booties. Switched to Teva's river shoe last year. It's like a running shoe. Far more comfortable on the toes and more secure in both my Nitro and Spanish Fly. Much nicer to walk on rocks.
No egress problems so far when I "f" my roll.
Columbia also makes a similar model. Depending on how cold the water is that you paddle in, you may want to bring neo-socks when trying them on.
