Just checking up on plans since it's getting close.
I've got my campsite for Friday and Saturday.Marshall and I are thinking of driving up Thursday after work.Depending on plans we'll either get the campsite at the NB for Thursday,or camp near where ever the paddling is happening on Friday.
Boats I can bring:(I know you've seen it before, but just in case)
-Esqiuf Zephyr
-Millbrook Defiant
-Mystery Corn boat(Cuda Max?)if I fix it in time...
-Wheelboy
-Necky Switch conversion
-Wavesport-Z conversion
Prolly won't bring the Defiant unless there is interest(It's also for sale
)

I've only ever been in an OC1 in a pool session and have been dying to try one out on moving water, so if you showed up with the Zephyr I wouldn't complain.

You won't be the only one in a little pain DaveM, it's been a while since I've been folded and lashed into my little pod.

For some reason, the original Armada thread was not made "sticky" - I fixed that - lot's of good info there and should be easier to find now. Includes a schedule, location, camping plans, etc...
Ther'll probably be at least one Wheelboy. I'm you're height but have a few pounds on you - I fit in it fine, but have "buoyancy issues". I think a big boy would be ideal...
Cost? You have to bring me a 6 pack of good beer

Hey Scott, thanks for making the Armada thread a sticky.
John, I'm 190lbs & felt that the Wheelboy was comfortable, but I also had "buoyancy issues". MShelton brought his Big Boy to Weldon & let me play in it all afternoon
I REALLY like that boat. Also, the "testing area" is wherever you are when you ask to try someone's boat
This is such a cool event
Today was my first time in whitewater in two weeks & it showed
It was also my first time in a squirt boat in a few months...boy did that ever show
I probably won't paddle anymore till we get to NY for the General Clinton. I hope I survive so I can go to the Armada

Add to that; anniversery, wife birthday, jury duty and quartly maintainance at work = 1 crappy month for paddling.

We finally got smart & figured out (with help from gps) how fast we can run the boat efficiently. The gps also helped us to trim the boat for maximum speed. We hope to find another boat, or group of boats to paddle with so we can ride a lot of wake. My goal is to 1-SURVIVE, 2-not hurt myself, 3-finish the race.
I'm bringing both the 1/2" cut & master cut Acrobats to the Armada. If there is anything else in the fleet that you want to try I can bring it too.
Viper - full cut
