Sup Y'all

Ok, I run a Bell Ocoee. 1.5 seasons on it and starting to break down. Bow and Stern are soft and creasing with sizeable dents. I here this talk of the Royalex not like it used to be. I boat aggressive out here in COLO on mostly class IV. Really like to attack!!

I truly love this hull design!!! Ultra responsive, for those micro eddies. Can't stand those bath tub shaped boats. IMO. Kind of corky in the water.

Just not sure where to go next? The Robson, Pyranha, maybe Esquif?
Really want to stay with the snappy, aggressive, fast hulls!! Getting away from Royalex might be nice

I went from the Ocoee to the Zephyr. Great boat- I can still snap into microeddies with ease, and it is faster. I finally got to surf it Sunday and it was great. This boat has the strap outfitting. I chose this to keep the boat as light as possible. The Prelude is another good option, but read prior posts about how to "flatten the bottom" so it has more initial stability. The secondary is excellent.

If you are looking to get away from royalex, call Andrew Phillips at Composite Creations (519)-659-9938. He is in London Ontario, (which may be too far for you) but he makes OC1s out of composite materials. They are decently light and seem to be very durable, and a bonus is there are no airbags. They are incorporated into the hull.

He had some boats at Palmerfest this past weekend, and one of them looked similar to the lines of an Ocoee (to my untrained eye anyway!)
