Aside from the narrow riot cockpit, would a booster make a decent C1??
Has anyone converted one? If so, any outfitting recommendations?
Dare I say it, it almost sounds like it's easier to start kayaking.

I tried a booster a few years back as a C1. was quite fun. given the small cockpit (and I vaguely recall a somewhat low cockpit too, might be wrong on that), if you have big or long legs, the fit might be tight.
of course it would be easier to start kayaking, that is why they sell the thing with a kayak seat in it.

I had outiftted it myself, but just temporarily. Depends on your roll and comfortable level with outfitting. For playboating, I'd highly recommend at least a small bulkhead to hold your knees in place. Then good thigh straps or a lap belt (search for forum on lapbelts, these need to be put together carefully w. respect). my lapbelt is remarkably similar to an american airlines seatbelt, the buckle won't jam.
some people are using the kayak backband modified instead of a foam backrest. If it is your first outfitting job I'd save that for the next time around.
