OT - Pirates of the Caribbean

Post by PAC »

Saw the new movie (not bad) last night at the local drive-in with the kids. Interesting thing.. seems Capin Jack is not only a sailor and man about water... but a C1er too!
I pointed it out to my boy last night he just and he thought it was funny as heck!
Not sure if anyone else out there has used the same "boat" he uses (altough some I have paddled have felt like it) and I'm pretty sure no one is using that "brand" of paddle! :o
But is just shows C1ers are an odd lot!
Arrrr... Paul C.

I went last night with a fellow c-boater and our wives. That "paddle" he was using seemed more of the flatwater variety and could have used a t-grip as well. At least it wasn't a kayak paddle. The "boat" looked a bit like the Taureau  although he seemed to have been sitting on his rear end. I wonder if it was a planing hull or displacement hull? Maybe in the next adventures of Capn' Jack Sparrow we can get some real whitewater action going on....(although there was one surfing scene with a dingy that made me laugh :D ).... I think I'll make a call to Disney today to see if they need a consultant.

I'll give the flick 4 stars!
