I certainly don't know every boat out there, but a friend has an old Dagger Genesis. I'm sure you could take pictures from it. I thinky you can do jumping jacks, take a nap, cook lunch, knit a sweater, write a novel, or do things that might get you arrested in most of the lower 48 states in it....all without going for a swim in up to Class II.

In class III or above, you could probably get away with all of those, but you might want to put the paddle in the water once in a while to keep the boat straight through the rapids (just a suggestion). 8)

I've taken hundreds of photos from my Mad River Synergy. I use an old Minolta Weathermatic 35 mm.

You do have to plan a bit, look for steady eddies, or have a feel for when the water is going to be steady enough. By the time you're dealing with class 4, it's a good idea to park and get out on dry land.

You can stand up in a genesis and surf it, lol, really...

you could try an Aftershock but you'd need a pretty small camera!

Boats like the Detonator and the Nitro are pretty stable. Probably anything but a Prelude as its way too twitchy.
