Pat, It's refreshing to see that Scott MacGregor and S&M Ben are not the only sarcastic contributors to Rapid... or was that an editorial injector?

I enjoyed the line, "...With branches reaching to grab boaters like a heavily perfumed great aunt, strainers are amont the most respected dangers paddlers face on the river"

I haven't seen the issue yet...

I've started writing a few little things here and there (and, yes, a lot of the flavour in the writing comes from editors, but I'm learning), in part because of discussions of how to help build interest in canoeing, including here:

I think getting more single-blade content into paddling and outdoor mags, and even city newspapers, can't do any harm.

(The article in Rapid is about the BC canoeing association working with government agencies and fisheries groups to improve communications about installing logjams on navigable rivers.)
