The title of the show should have given it away..."stunt" is what it was all about. You can't really compare it to what paddling is about anymore than you can compare some kid on a BMX bike on a half pipe to Lance Armstrong kicking but on the Tour. That doesn't take away from what he does.

I haven't seen it, but it can't be any more anticlimatic than Evil K. trying to jump a canyon on a "motorcycle" when I was a kid. Yeah he's a butt boater, and yeah others that get less attention are probably a lot better in many aspects, and yeah...he's making some sweet money paddling. People don't like that, they don't like MicroSoft, or Exxon, or BP either. I'm sure he's losing about as much sleep over it as Bill Gates.

Not sure what link you mean. I did paddle a green Nomad (the queen of Esquimalt) last season. If it is launching off a big butt drop and a helicopter is waiting 50 feet below....then it's my big brother, not me :-)

yup thats me, it's a pic of this drop I believe (a crop anyways)

Thats the middle Gordon and the drop is one of the best pieces of whitewater on the island. It is a short leadin into a boiling pool then the falls with a line to hit and a drop in the end. It's so beautiful in there.
