We were discussing meteorological terms at work today and were debating the usages of typhoon, hurricane and cyclone when I remembered that MR had boats with those names. I could find info here on the Typhoon and Cyclone, but not the Hurricane. I did a google and found a hit that confirms that at someone else thinks they made one, too :

Anybody know anything about the Hurricane? or the Tempest?

The Hurricane was a short downriver doubles boat. It was a bit wider than the Cyclone and didn't have the tumblehome. The Tempest was a solo marathon boat. It had a fairly high slightly flared bow and could handle rough water well. MR made both in great kevlar and foam core race layups. I've had the fun of paddling both in DR's and canoe triathlons up here in VT. Borrowed from friends of course.

Corrections to be made. The Cyclone was the longer version of the Twister, designed by Dave Paton and Mark Clark. They ruled the OC2 Mens Racing Class for many years and we hope to see them paddle again in the future. Glenn Pratt had one at NOC and paddled it in the medium classes as a solo boat and with his wife Sandy as a doubles boat. It was the Typhoon that was the doubles DR boat with loads of tumblehome. It is incorrectly listed as a slalom boat on this site. Too many storms/too many Guinesses.
