survey on use of Rouge River (Qubec)
Posted: Thu Sep 14, 2006 10:37 pm
Hello,
We've got a project to protect part of the Rouge River in Qubec (between Ottawa and Montral), and to convince the powers that be we are documenting how many paddlers (kayak, c, and oc ers) have been on the river and will go annually. Our goal is for part of the river to become a park (7 sisters/7 chutes section) with a free take out for everyone (long term project).
If you've ever been on the Rouge, you can help us by sending an e-mail to:
gparr2006
@
yahoo.ca
letting us know your name, where you live, your membership in clubs and ww or protection organizations (personal info is confidiential).
In particular, please mention how many times you've paddled the various sections (7 soeurs, canyon, 21 miles, huberdeau, other), and if you plan to return.
Please also pass this on to your local paddling contacts who've paddled the rouge.
Thanks,
GPARR
Group for Protection and Access to the Rouge River.
