New Designs for 2007. SOON!!!

Post by adkSara »

I'm working my little design mind at creating new graphics for the 2007 CBoat Store...

I'm keeping the C1B1 with new graphics, the OC1B1 with new graphics, the Asymmetrical Paddler's Club with a sweet new design, and the Kneel and Pray to the Gods of Pain with a new graphic.

However I'm thinking of creating a new design for a brand new saying... any ideas???

I'm thinking something humorous would be cool - or a catchy saying... (I can tell you though that I don't think that it's right to create anything that downplays kayaking in a mean way (funny is good - like the training paddle idea last year) 'cause the one thing that I'm most proud of Cboats is everyone is really open and treats all boaters well - for the most part :) .)

So please post some ideas and we'll see what turns up... :D

Thanks,
Sara

this may be just me, but a really simple C1 shirt would be cool, or a really simple CBoats.net shirt with just a couple of colors. something with the Phrase "whitewater canoeing exists." or some derivative of...
I do enjoy the shirts, I jsut havent made up my mind.

t-shirt

Post by billcanoes »

I was thinking - especially for alden it would be funny to have

"Bird Flu"

with the picture below it- on a t-shirt or something - I was trying to think of something unique to cboating- and only the people on this site would get the caption.

---------------------------------------------------------
it would be nice to see a

"c1 squirt"

sticker too- but no photo

Bill, nice photo. John, it is Great Falls.

I'll refrain from posting too many ideas since it always seems I'm too cheap to actually buy anything! But, a few:

I think a good quote (despite ADK Sara's message of unity) would be: "To H--- With Kayaking!" and then have some bada-- picture of a C-1er running a big drop.

Or, perhaps, swing the other way, and show a guy running a rapid WHILE repairing his Zephyr (in the words of J. Peterman . . . "The very (boat) pants I was (paddling) returning . . ."

Or (promise this is my last idea) ADK Sara and Sir Adam sitting at their kitchen table with a bubble over Adam's head that says, "You know, Honey, every year erosion brings our house several inches closer to the put in for the Hudson Gorge." And then ADK Sara looks at him lovingly.

just some thoughts . . . ?

I like the "Bird Flu" idea, but the circle that get's it would be very small.

Cute Alden :D Considering that we've already had boats in our kitchen as well as "ideas" to hang boats in our great room from the ceiling including a launch like Batman that would send Adam out the huge windows along a zip line to drop him in the middle of the river... there aren't many "bubbles" in Adam's mind that would suprise me

I'll keep your ideas in mind and by the way - nice photos!!!

Keep the cheer,
Sara

Sara, I'm hoping that you can consider dropping the prominent display of sponsor on the sponsor items. Keep it simple with cboats or cboats.net. The oval in blue is cool but maybe it could be more sleek like an arial view of a cboat where the open or decked aspect is not distinct, with the font aligned the along the keel line or diagonally, or slicing across overlayed on a single blade.

Also, problem with jokes is that someone can be offended. I would not sport the logo referencing training blades as I think it could be interpreted as insulting and I wouldn't want to offend my many kayaking friends. Take the high road with promotions.

oneblade oneride
1blade-1ride
just a graphic of the arial cboat with a paddle layed across on the diagonal, no words needed

thanks for asking...looking forward to some new art. ~Heidi

Can't remember where or from whom, but I read it somewhere on this forum. So it's a quote, not my brainchild:

"Praise C-sus!"

Or: "Thanks C-sus!"

For the open minded it would work too: "Praise OC-sus!" and "Thanks OC-sus!"

And it wouldn't exclude the tandem-teams...
