For some reason I have the idea that in whitewater slalom, C1 racers have generaly faster times than kayak racers.
Anybody care to confirm or deny?
Thanks,
Tommy

At the National and International level, generally, K1M is faster than C1M. There are instances where the top C1 has had a time within the top three fastest K1, I can only think of one.... Anyone care to guess at some others as well? Let the fun begin.
P.S. at the citizen racer level, it all depends on who shows up.

So at Athens, the top K1 time from Campbell Walsh semifinal run was 91.25 I believe, and the top time from Martikan was 93.something or other. however, at the World Championships this year, there were 3 C1s to beat the K1 I believe. or that is what a friends Blog told me. himself being one of the Kayakers beaten.
but I think in general the Kayak Times are better than the C1 times. I think that the course in Prague was an exception to the norm. it looked like it was really built for a right handed paddler.
anyhow. I am off to Colo to run some gates, and ski.

The one I can think of is the 2004 Athens Olympics, at which the top two C-1s would have been second and third in men's kayak.
