What do you want to see from the boatmakers?
I guess everyonje want to see some demmo boats at the March Singler sticker thing, the guys at the factory keep askin what should they bring? You want to ask them to show how to repair gunnels, add bulkheads, glue in out fitting ? If they are willin to come to the party we might as well put them to work. Oh ya Chris told me that Craig would be convertin a K1 to a C1, I think he ment boat not boater.

What do I want to see from the boatmaker? I want to see 'em get a gun that'll shoot metal-flake. I want to see a new red & metal-flake boat when I look down
I can get over the metal-flake addiction...for now...I think...

wish list
none of this is prolly gunna be do-able for the It Ain't LouieFest '07, but here's what I'd like to see from boatmakers:
1 purpose built C-1 creeker
2 purpose built C-1 creeker (not glass, duh!)
3 more hulls available in Twintex
4 a Taureau that's factory decked (see #'s 1 and 2)
5 an answer on a bomber adhesive for vinyl to Twintex
BTW- it say's A LOT about Esquif that they're hands down closer to making my wishes come true than any other boat maker out there.
Presque à la ligne d'arrivée, Jacques.

i think it would be cool to have the new esquif's: spark, teareau, paradygm, etc. louie, i don't really know who else is coming boatmaker wise. but if there is any composite makers, that would be cool.
as do driftwood, drakkar is making the fatboy(a creeking c1 that has been in the works for a few years) and the openboy(a playboat that supposed to be really short. both boats, I have no idea on when they are going to come out. but as far as an OC-1 creeker, I have heard/read nothing of.
Prost

Oh, I get it!
What I meant to say was:
Taureau, Zephyr, Paradigm, Spark
Taureau, Zephyr, Paradigm, Spark
How about
twintex repairs
there was a thread a while back about soft sterns that seems to have been taken off - line between Esquif and the customer. If there are repair methods - I think potential buyers and current owners both will want to know how.

boatin
I'd like to swipe Davey's old boat from the lodge at the Ocoee, take it for a spin, and then hang it back up in the lodge, still dripping, tourists and little kids getting wet downstairs as a result. They would think this was actually some dazzling special effect.
So I guess I'm saying that I'd like for the rangers and gift shop people over there to let me do this.

oc1 creeker
Driftwood was right there was a mention about an oc1 carbon kevlar creeker- I think there was even some talk of it on cboats where people were upset that more and more boats were going to the drawing board but the ones in the works- i.e. the fatboy were put on the backburner
http://www.backwashkayaks.com/drakkar/n ... l#12092005
I think the fatboy would be an outstanding boat if the it made it to production-As far as I knew the plug was ready about two years ago- and its a matter of capital and business decisions now- The basic summary is they would probably break even if they produced a mold- of course business' open "for profit"-
PAC sold me his Micro and I bought it because we both though 16 months ago it would only be a few months and we would both have shiny new fatboys- and I didnt want to spend a lot on a creeker and he could get by with his Cascade-
So I think the consensus is to go about your business and if it comes to be hopefully there will be some nice conversions available for people beginning in the sport
