A training camp is planned for March 10-11 on the Lower Yough. This camp will address a variety of general topics(going fast) as well as specifics to help prepare for Senior Team Trials on the Yough(the best wildwater line through Railroad). There will be video analysis of stroke technique and whitewater lines along with all the usual fun.
All levels are welcome. In an attempt to help everyone get the most out of this camp, it will be divided into two major groups with coaches for each. His Royale Speedness Andrew McEwan will be leading the faster group while a second group of beginner/intermediate wildwater paddlers will be working with me. Overseeing the madness will be The Scottish Cannon Ball, Chris Norbury, who will be seemingly everywhere at once- in the water, videoing, coaching, sitting in his high-chair spooning mushed carrots into his cheek.
If anyone needs a boat or gear don't let it stop you from coming as we have a bunch of stuff to lend.
The more the merrier -- please spread the word...
Middy
